Saint Paul the Apostle Church hosting Training Program

Saint Paul the Apostle Church will be hosting a training program for anyone who works with those in need in the community on Saturday, Oct. 6, from 10am to 2:30pm. The cost is $5 for lunch. Training will be provided by Ashley Williams of Christ Central Ministries in Oconee County as well as Pastor Jimmy Jones of Christ Central Ministries in Columbia. Topics will include the introduction on how to begin the interview process and how to deal with people in specific lifestyles, problems, and emotional or mental needs; the appearance on learning by the client’s appearance and actions; stages of change on how willing is the client desiring change and what change will they be willing to make and will be effective; meeting the need of the client or what is the focused goal that will help the individual at that moment; and knowing your community for resources. Saint Paul the Apostle Church is located at 170 Bountyland Road between Highway 28 and Sheep Farm Road.
