Salem Art Show

The Salem branch of the Oconee County Public Library (OCPL) is having an Art Show. This is a two day event, Sept. 26-27. The times will be 9:30am to 4pm on Wednesday and 11:30am to 4pm on Thursday. The Salem Art will be located at the Salem Community Center Building. Betty Galloway has been teaching students how to paint in our library’s Painting for Fun Art program. In this program Betty has taken beginners from the beginning and shown them how to produce their own painting. Her painting style is mainly folk-art style, but she does allow participants to paint what they like. This art show will let the participants in the Painting for Fun program display works that they have finished. The members of the Painting for Fun group are also working on a group painting and this painting will be on display. Please come by and see what great art happenings are going on in the Salem area. Betty Galloway is a local artist with 14 years of experience teaching art classes in Anderson. She also has taught art classes out of her home.
