FALCONS OWNER RE-UNITED WITH HIS SMALL JET

The owner of the Atlanta Falcons, Arthur Blank, has been re-united with his small jet airplane, and the spot on the grounds of the Oconee Airport has been cleared of a large tent under which the Gulfstream G4 was repaired. In November Blank flew into the local airport for a Clemson game, but as the small jet taxied in, its left main wheel fell off into the grass. And there the plane remained for a month, as the Gulfstream manufacturer got FAA approval to erect a 45-foot high tent under which the repairs were made. The FAA determined the tent did not pose a safety issue for airplane traffic. Airport officials say the whole process took about four weeks.
