Fatal Accident on SC 183

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash this morning, Dec. 7, on SC 183 between Westminster and Walhalla. Oconee County Coroner Karl Addis was called to the scene of what troopers describe as a collision between a moped and a vehicle. A detour rerouted traffic this morning onto Critter Road and Plant Road as the investigation began around 6:40am. We will update information on this fatal collision as it become available. This is the 17th traffic fatality report in Oconee County this year.
