Fatal Shooting on Port Royal Road

On Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at approximately 2:30 PM, the Anderson County Coroner’s Office and Sheriff’s Office responded to a shooting on Port Royal Road resulting from a domestic dispute, where 44-year-old Adger Luther Stamey of Anderson was pronounced dead at the scene from multiple gunshot wounds, with the manner of death ruled a homicide and the investigation ongoing.
