Feedback wanted on SC Maternal and Child Health Block Grant

The Health Services and Resources Administration’s Title V Program is one of the largest federal block grant programs, reports the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC). This program supports the health and well-being of the nation’s mothers, children, including children with special needs, and their families. South Carolina is one of the 59 states and jurisdictions receiving funding to help improve maternal and child health. DHEC’s Bureau of Maternal and Child Health (MCH) administers the Title V Block Grant and supported programs in our state. Each year, the SC Department of Health submits an application for Title V funding and also reports on progress made during the previous year. The agency looks at data on maternal and child health and collects information on programs that serve women, children, and infants. The MCH Bureau would like to hear from you about this year’s application. Please read the application narrative and let us know what you think by sending us comments or questions to [email protected].
