FEMA Reimbursement Fuels Purchase of Radio Communication System For First Responders

(Seneca, SC)——————At this past Tuesday’s Oconee County Council Meeting, it was announced that a FEMA reimbursement of $71,000 will be used to for a radio communications system to help public safety officers. County Council Chairman Julian Davis talks about the importance of this communications system. 

The County was reimbursed by FEMA, according to Davis, in regards to all the disaster work that teams have been doing due to recent storms. Council also went into executive session to discuss several economic development matters and Davis hopes some announcements can be made soon. Also discussed at the Council meeting was expansion of the County Rock Quarry.
