Final Days of the SC Foothills Heritage Fair

Just two days remain to enjoy this year’s South Carolina Foothills Heritage Fair, which is celebrating its tenth anniversary in Oconee County. Melinda Harbin, Secretary of the Fair Board of Directors, tells about the fun activities planned for tonight. “At 5pm see Mr. Twister under the Main Tent, at 5:45pm is the Antique Tractor Parade under the Main Tent, at 6pm is the Beef Cattle Show in the FFA Show Arena, at 8pm listening to the 2nd Time Around Band under the Main Tent and also at 8pm is the High School Rodeo in the Arena.” Saturday is the final day of this year’s fair and there will be something for everyone to enjoy, adds Harbin. “The fun starts at 10am on Saturday with the 4-H Rabbit Show in the 4-H Tent, also at 10am is the 4-H Goat Show in the FFA Show Arena, at 11:45am is the Antique Tractor Parade under the Main Tent, at 12pm is the Ag Commission Recipe Contest under the Main Tent, at 12:30pm see Mr. Twister under the Main Tent, at 1pm is the Draft Horse Pull, also at 1pm is the Jr. Rodeo in the Arena, at 5pm it’s Mr. Twister again under the Main Tent, at 5:45pm is the Antique Tractor Parade under the Main Tent, at 6pm see the King Arthur Flour Baking Contest under the Main Tent, at 8pm the James Radford Band plays under the Main Tent and also at 8pm will be the High School Rodeo in the Arena. So, come out to the fair for a good time.” The South Carolina Foothills Heritage Fair is an old-fashioned agriculture fair at the FARM Center on Sandifer Boulevard across from Ag Pro. The fair is from 4-11pm Friday and 10am to 11pm on Saturday with the carnival rides running one hour later each day.
