Fire Fighters Respond to Call From Clarios

UPDATE: Oconee Emergency Services reports that firefighters responded to a fire at Clarios in West Union around 9:45 a.m. Thursday. The fire, located in machinery ductwork, was extinguished by 10:30 a.m. No injuries were reported, and the plant was evacuated as a precaution. According to Scott Krein with Oconee Emergency Services, firefighters were called to Clarios in West Union around 9:45am this morning. Upon arrival, firefighters found and extinguished a blaze by 10:30am, Krein said. No injuries were reported, and the plant, which manufactures low-voltage batteries, was evacuated as a precaution.
