Five Candidates File for Clemson City Council Seats Ahead of November Election

Candidate filing for Clemson’s 2026 municipal election officially closed on August 3, with five candidates—Scott Allison, Joe Burgett, Nanda Edgerton, Fran McGuire, and incumbent Dr. Alesia Smith—competing for three city council seats currently held by Smith, Lillian Scott, and John Fulmer.
