Former Seneca Municipal Pool to be filled

The former municipal swimming pool in the City of Seneca will soon be filled in to satisfy state regulations. At their meeting this week, the Seneca City Council was informed that the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control recently sent a reminder to the city that an in-ground swimming pool left unused for 24 straight months must be filled in for safety reasons. The city plans to comply with the regulation. The pool has not been used in many years, since the city stopped offering public swimming.
