Friendship Home damaged in Fire

The Friendship Fire Department responded to a house fire Monday night on Coneross Creek Road, tells Chief Favion Skelton. “It was mostly smoke damage. The fire was contained to one room, it started in the dryer area. When we got there it was rolling out the windows from the downstairs and we knocked it out pretty quick but most of the damage was from heavy smoke throughout the house. We did have one fireman get hurt though. We is still in Greenville Memorial Hospital right now, but he is doing better.” An adult and two children are now being financially assisted by the American Red Cross with food, clothing, lodging, and other essentials.
