Gas Prices Continue To Rise Across South Carolina, According To AAA Carolinas

(Seneca, SC)——————-Gas prices across South Carolina continue to be on the rise, according to AAA Carolinas. The average price for a gallon of gas in the Palmetto State is $2.40 a gallon, which is 10 cents more than a week ago and 25 cents more than a month ago. However, when compared with this time last year, gas prices are only up a penny on average.

AAA Carolinas says that the start of the busy spring travel season had led to the rising prices and prices are expected to continue climbing which could possibly last through Memorial Day. Plus, if crude oil prices should continue to rise, then pump prices will likely go up as well, according to the release that was issued.
