Gas Prices Continue To Rise In South Carolina; Prices Remain Consistent With Year Ago Averages

(Seneca, SC)—————–Gas prices continue to rise across South Carolina. Prices at the pump have increased by 52 cents since New Year’s Day, according to AAA Carolinas. However, despite the climb, prices do remain consistent with averages just a year ago.

South Carolina’s average of $2.45 a gallon is five cents more than last week, 28 cents more than last month but only one cent more than this time last year.

According to Tiffany Wright from AAA Carolinas, gas stocks have been declining and prices are likely to increase in the coming weeks as demand grows.
