Gas Prices holding steady

Gas prices are holding steady, heading lower by just a drop since June. Lundberg Survey Author Trilby Lundberg gives details.  “The average price of gallon, regular grade, is $3.59.  It slipped nearly a penny over the past three weeks and it is down nearly seven cents over the past two months.”  Better get ready to pay more though as Lundberg sees a move in the opposite direction soon.  “The chances are pretty good that we will see a higher price at the pump soon, maybe a dime higher.” Lundberg says one reason why gas is getting more expensive is that the price of crude oil is heading higher.  “Most of the reason that crude oil prices are much higher lately comes from geo-politics.  The impact of the chaos in Egypt is adding to already existing concerns about oil from the Middle East.” The Lundberg Survey found the cheapest gasoline prices in the country to be in Charleston, South Carolina at $3.22.
