GBI Arrests Toccoa Man in Homicide Investigation
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) arrested 36-year-old Corey Bryant of Toccoa on November 25, 2024, and charged him with malice murder in connection with the death of 42-year-old Angela Baker of Toccoa. The GBI was called to assist the Toccoa Police Department on November 22, 2024, after Baker was found dead at her home on East Franklin Street by family members. Bryant, who was located shortly after the discovery of Baker’s body, was initially arrested on unrelated charges stemming from a fight earlier that day. Bryant and Baker had previously been in a relationship. Evidence gathered during the investigation led to the murder charge. The investigation remains ongoing, and anyone with information is urged to contact the GBI Regional Investigative Office in Cleveland at 706-348-4866 or the GBI Tipline at 1-800-597-TIPS (8477). Once complete, the case will be forwarded to the Mountain Circuit Judicial Circuit District Attorney for prosecution.
