Golden Corner Picks Up First Measurable Precipitation In over Two Weeks

(Seneca, SC)——The Golden Corner picked up almost an inch of rain from thunderstorms that came through the area on Friday and Saturday, that is according to the rain gauge of Barbara Wilson, the county weather observer.

In fact, according to Barbara’s stats, it is the first measurable prepiciptation that Barbara received in her rain gauge in over two weeks since August 28th, when she recorded .17 hundreths of an inch of rain.

The highest temperature that was recorded during the two plus weeks without measurable precipitation occurred last Friday, when Barbara recorded a high temperature of 97 degrees at her weather station.
