Graduation Today at Clemson University

Clemson University announces that around 3,800 graduates are to receive degrees at four commencement ceremonies, two on Thursday and two on Friday. All will be streamed live online at www.clemson.edu/tv/live. At 9:30am Thursday, graduates of the College of Engineering, Computing and Applied Sciences will receive their degrees. At 2:30pm, the colleges of Business and Education will award degrees and U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley will address the graduates. On Friday, U.S. Senator Tim Scott will address graduates at two commencement ceremonies. He will speak at 9:30am to graduates of the College of Agriculture, Forestry and Life Sciences and College of Behavioral, Social and Health Sciences; and at the 2:30pm ceremony for the College of Architecture Arts and Humanities and College of Science. Families and guests planning to come to Clemson University’s commencement ceremonies Thursday and Friday should plan extra time for travel. Highway 93 has been narrowed to two lanes from Cherry Road to Calhoun Drive due to utility construction. Drivers coming from Greenville, Central or Pendleton and other points east should use Perimeter Road from U.S. 76 and follow that around the south side of campus to get to Littlejohn Coliseum. Police officers will be directing traffic to help visitors get to the coliseum for the ceremonies. Parking is available in lots near the coliseum. The parking lot to the north of Littlejohn is reserved for vehicles with handicap placards. Security teams will search bags at Littlejohn entrances, so allow extra time to enter the building. Large bags and backpacks may be turned away.
