Graham Secures Funding for Key Upstate South Carolina Projects in FY26 Package
U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) announced securing nearly $150 million in federal funding for infrastructure and workforce development projects across South Carolina through the third FY 2026 appropriations package, which passed the Senate on January 30 and the House today. As a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, Graham advocated for these investments to support the state’s rapid growth, emphasizing improved airports, roads, railways, and education programs to build a competitive workforce. Upstate highlights include $25 million for runway rehabilitation at Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport (GSP), $5 million for oncology equipment at Prisma Health-Upstate, $6 million for renovating the Cardiovascular Recovery Unit and constructing the Coronary Care Unit at Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System, $1 million for a mobile welding lab at Piedmont Technical College, and $7 million for veterinary education equipment and technology at Clemson University.
