Greenville Man Charged with Murder Following Fatal Shooting at Anderson Construction Site

Deshod Uriah Shamar Oliver, 29, of Greenville, has been charged with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime after allegedly shooting and killing his coworker, 52-year-old Nicholas Christopher Grove of Taylors, on August 31, 2026. The two men, who worked together for a Greenville cabinetry company, were at a new home under construction on Tilman Court in Anderson County when an altercation escalated, resulting in Grove suffering a fatal gunshot wound inside the kitchen area. Witnesses reported that Oliver quickly became upset before firing and subsequently fled the scene in a work vehicle toward Interstate 85. Deputies located and detained Oliver near mile marker 32, later booking him into the Anderson County Detention Center, while the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office and Coroner’s Office continue their joint homicide investigation pending an autopsy.
