Greenville Moped Driver Killed in Pickens County Collision

Authorities are investigating a late-night collision in Pickens County that claimed the life of a 62-year-old Greenville moped driver. Pickens County Coroner Andrew Wilson reports that emergency crews responded to the crash at the intersection of Dacusville Highway and Dalton Road in Marietta around 11:40 p.m. on Thursday, July 2nd. Investigators say a Dodge 1500 crew cab truck collided with a moped driven by Lynn Major Hansen, who was tragically pronounced dead at the scene. A forensic autopsy is scheduled for Monday to determine exact injuries, and the crash remains under active investigation by the Pickens County Coroner’s Office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
