Greenville ONE gives $9M space to CU

The Media Relations Department at Clemson University reports that the University’s presence in downtown Greenville soon will have a new home in the ONE Building, thanks to a gift of office, classroom and storefront space valued at more than $9 million from the partners of Greenville ONE: Hughes Development Corporation and GAB Properties LLC. The partners’ total gift-in-kind includes 70,000 square feet: floors five, six, seven and eight and prime ground-floor space to welcome Greenville residents and visitors to “The Clemson Experience.” The university’s College of Business and Behavioral Science will occupy four floors of the new building. The space will house graduate programs, including the MBA program, which is the college’s largest graduate program with more than 300 students. Other programs there will be master’s programs in management, marketing, accountancy and finance and the Master of Real Estate Development program. ONE also will be home to three centers and institutes: the Clemson Center for Corporate Learning, the Arthur M. Spiro Institute for Entrepreneurial Leadership and the Greenville Branch of the Small Business Development Center. The building will become a hub for Clemson’s business education and entrepreneurism programs. This gift-in-kind is part of Clemson University’s $1 billion The Will to Lead capital campaign to support faculty and students with scholarships, professorships, facilities and technology.
