Grief-to-Hope Gathering planned after School Shootings

In light of recent events at Townville Elementary School Foothills Community Health Care is holding a gathering for the community, both adults and children. The Foothills Community Health Care grief-to-hope processing and support gathering is tonight, Sept. 29, 2016 from 6-8pm. The event will be led by Brie Childress, LMSW, FCHC staff, and volunteers. The goals are processing the events, with a focus on moving towards hope, helping children cope with violence as the community is shaken to its core after the shooting of two students and a teacher on the playground at Townville Elementary School in Anderson County Wednesday afternoon. Prevention and early recognition of traumatic responses as well as information and resources about trauma and resilience as individuals, families and communities will be available. There is no charge for this event at Foothills Community Health Care, 1011 Tiger Boulevard, Suite 400 in Clemson and you do not have to be a patient at Foothills Community Health Care to attend.
