Harper’s Building Demolition to Begin Next Week

The Seneca Improvements Corporation held a board meeting this morning and voted to proceed with demolition work on the old Harper’s building to make way for new businesses looking out onto what could potentially be the new “Harper’s Plaza” – a green space complete with a splash pad and fountain.

City Administrator Scott Moulder said the intent is to preserve the most historical parts of the building…

The demolition project will be performed by Compete Demolition at a cost of about $175,000. Funds from the sale of the former Hometown Building will be put towards the effort, officials said.
