Healthcare Companies focusing on ‘Fearless’ Schoolteachers

BlueCross® BlueShield® of South Carolina and BlueChoice® HealthPlan of South Carolina are once again seeking South Carolina schoolteachers who want to Live Fearless. The companies are asking South Carolina teachers to submit ideas for how they would inspire students to Live Fearless in the classroom, and what tools, school supplies or resources would help achieve that goal. At least one teacher will be awarded a fearless prize package. The contest runs until Sept. 7. Submissions will be accepted from teachers, administrators or parents of students in any 5-year-old kindergarten through 12th-grade classrooms in South Carolina. Entries may be in the form of pictures, videos or written descriptions submitted to www.LiveFearlessSC.com. This is the second time the organization has searched the state for fearless teachers. Two years ago, three teachers received prizes for their submissions, including a rock climbing wall, African drums and school supplies to help students with severe intellectual disabilities. Learn more about those teachers and projects on the BlueCross YouTube channel. Members of the public may submit their own stories at any time and view other exemplary stories at www.LiveFearlessSC.com or by searching social media using #LiveFearlessSC.
