Heat Advisory Issued for Portions of GA, NC, and SC
According to the National Weather Service in Greenville-Spartanburg, Heat Advisory remains in effect from 12 PM to 8 PM EDT today, Monday, July 21, for portions of northeast Georgia, Piedmont North Carolina, and Upstate South Carolina.
Heat index values up to 107 degrees Fahrenheit are expected, posing a risk of heat illnesses.
Residents are advised to drink plenty of fluids, stay in air-conditioned rooms, avoid direct sun exposure, check on neighbors, and never leave children or pets in unattended vehicles.
