Help sought solving West Union Burglary and Larceny

Crimestoppers of Oconee County, Inc. and the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office seek the public’s help solving a burglary and larceny that occurred at a West Union area business, explains Public Information Officer Jimmy Watt. “A deputy from the Uniform Patrol Division on routine patrol around 2:06am Wednesday observed a gate open to a business in the 400 block of S. Highway 11. Upon entering the property through the gate, the deputy noticed the roll up shop doors open. Upon checking the property, the deputy discovered damage to portions of the building and observed that entry had been made into the business on the property. The deputy made contact with the owner of the business, who responded and informed the deputy that a white 1997 Ford F-250 Single Cab service pickup with Foothills Grading on the side had been stolen. Further investigation showed that numerous tools, which included chainsaws and power tools, had been stolen as well. The pickup may have some front end damage, according to investigators. The info on the pickup has been entered into the National Crimes Information Database. The pickup has a South Carolina tag of EGP843, according to deputies. An investigation began which has been turned over to the Criminal Investigations Division.
