Help tell Cancer to take a Hike

Oconee County Emergency Services Deputy Chief of Emergency Management and Special Operations Scott Krein also serves as a volunteer with CureSearch Ultimate Hike. Recently, he made the decision to try a different kind of involvement, by hiking 28.3 miles in one day to raise funds for the 43 children that are diagnosed with cancer everyday. Chief Krein’s father recently died as a result of complications from cancer. He’ll be participating in CureSearch for Children’s Cancer’s Ultimate Hike. In one day, he’ll hike for 10-12 hours on the Foothills Trail in Oconee County. Making a donation is easy, tax deductible, and secure. To learn more about CureSearch, visit http://curesearch.org.
