Highlights from Walhalla City Council Meeting

Dr. Lorelei Swanson, a member of the Diversity and Inclusion Committee for Walhalla, appeared before the City Council there at Tuesday night’s meeting to present an update regarding their meetings and the goals they have for the community…

Dr. Swanson went on to report that the group of the Diversity and Inclusion Committee for Walhalla together read the book entitled, “How to be an Anti-Racist.” Also during the City Council meeting in Walhalla on Tuesday night, the council unanimously selected Danny Woodward to remain as mayor pro-tem.

And a ceremony to remember the late Council Member Dennis Owens was held at the beginning of the meeting. Three candles will remain in front of the seat once occupied by Owens. At the meeting, his widow, Gwen, was given a proclamation honoring her late husband’s service to the council and community.
