Highway Patrol reports on Fair Play Traffic Fatality

The South Carolina Highway Patrol has issued an explanation for Tuesday morning’s fatal crash on West Fair Play Boulevard, near I-85.  A representative for the Highway Patrol said a car driven southbound by 79-year old James Rufus Brown of Fair Play attempted a left turn onto Brandon Drive when he was struck by a tractor-trailer. The Highway Patrol identified that driver as Lucky Stone of Twin City, Georgia.  According to Lance Corporal Bill Ryne, Stone was headed in the opposite direction.  Brown’s death is the 22^nd traffic fatality in Oconee County this year.
