Hit and Miss Showers recorded in Walhalla

Depending on where you live in Oconee County, you may have received rain this week. Showers were described as hit and miss by Official U.S. Weather Observer Barbara Wilson from her weather station in Walhalla. “On Sept. 20, I recorded .22 over night. Then the next day .23 and then .31 and yesterday .14. So, we were just on the outskirts of some of the scattered thunderstorms. Last night, we were really not hit by the thunderstorms, they were further east and going toward Greenville.” Numbers may be different where you live, Wilson recorded these figures from her weather station, which is about a mile from downtown Walhalla.
