Holiday Events Across the Upstate and Georgia

The holiday season is in full swing with numerous festive events and parades in the Upstate and Georgia for families to enjoy.

In Anderson County, the City of Anderson’s Christmas Parade will begin at 3 p.m. on Sunday, December 8, downtown on Main Street.

In Oconee County, Seneca’s Magical Musical Holiday Light Show at Norton Thompson Park is on display from 5:30-10 p.m. nightly through December 31, with the city’s tree lighting ceremony and parade on Monday, December 2, at 5 p.m. The town of West Union held its annual Christmas parade on Sunday, and Westminster’s parade will take place at 6 p.m. on December 6, with a tree lighting ceremony to follow. Walhalla’s parade, themed “A Nutcracker’s Christmas,” will begin at 5 p.m. on December 7.

Pickens County’s Christmas events include the Clemson Christmas Parade on December 5 at 6 p.m., and Central’s parade at 6:30 p.m. on December 6. Six Mile will host several holiday events, including a Christmas market on December 7 and an Old-Fashioned Christmas Event on December 5, culminating with their 53rd annual Christmas parade at 10:30 a.m. that same day.

In Georgia, Hartwell’s Christmas Parade will be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday, December 8, and Toccoa’s Christmas Through the Years parade will take place at 7 p.m. on Thursday, December 12.
