Improvements coming to Highway 123 in Seneca

The South Carolina Department of Transportation announces two projects are planned for a busy stretch of Highway 123 in Seneca. Sister station, WGOG reports that one project is to start as soon as possible, while the second likely won’t begin until next summer. The approval of $30,000 by the Oconee “C” Fund Committee will allow the DOT to construct a left turn lane from Highway 123 onto Old Salem Road.  All of this is preliminary to a federal aid project that will re-pave Highway 123, from Lindsay Road to Old Salem Road; however, that re-surfacing likely will not start until summer.
