Jackpot Fever continues in SC as Powerball rolls to $750M

South Carolina is still buzzing about selling a $1.5 billion Mega Millions jackpot winning ticket. But not to be forgotten is Powerball that failed to produce a jackpot winner Wednesday night, but will give players a shot at $750 million on Saturday. Powerball has grown quietly right alongside Mega Millions, and now touts its third largest jackpot. In Wednesday night’s drawing over 75,000 winning tickets were sold in South Carolina. Of these, 27,000 players who purchased PowerPlay for an extra dollar will see their winnings doubled. The winning numbers were: 3, 21, 45, 53, 56 and Powerball 22. Tickets for Saturday’s $750 million jackpot are available at lottery retailers statewide. Tickets cost $2, and in South Carolina must be purchased by 9:59pm for Saturday’s 10:59pm drawing. The cash value is $428.6 million. Odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 293 million.
