Jet Skids Off Runway at Oconee Regional Airport

A jet that skidded off the runway at Oconee Regional Airport on Monday is awaiting repairs. According to Dan Suddeth, chairman of the Oconee County Aeronautics Commission, the aircraft will be moved to a parking area for inspection after its tires are replaced. No one was injured in the incident, which temporarily closed Runway 7. The FAA and NTSB were notified, and the jet is registered in Nassau County, New York.
