Job Forecast for 2014
CareerBuilder.com’s annual predictions show a slight drop off in hiring plans for full time workers in 2014 but an uptick in chances of finding a part time position. CareerBuilder’s Jennifer Grasz says that companies are moderately upbeat about the New Year’s prospects. “They are seeing greater demand for their products and services, so there is that sense of optimism but it is paired with caution.” Grasz says that managers plan to recruit full time employees for certain fields. “Customer service, production, engineering, marketing, business development, accounting and finance.” Pay increases await some employees in certain fields, concludes Grasz. “26% of employers say that they plan to raise starting salaries for high skilled roles in 2014.” To read the complete job forecast report for 2014, visit www.CareerBuilder.com.
