Joint Regional Sewer Authority holds November Meeting

This week’s meeting of the Oconee Joint Regional Sewer Authority broke up without any action taken on whether the JRSA will appeal a judge’s decision denying a declaratory judgment and an injunction to stop construction of the Pioneer water plant. Officially, the JRSA’s part in the failed legal challenge by Seneca, Westminster, and Oconee County was that of an intervener. During Monday’s meeting, according to Chris Eleazer, the executive director, the JRSA moved ahead with plans to ensure that its Davis Creek Road area pump stations are adequate to handle the increased flows from both the Hartwell Village and Epoch projects.
