JRSA Requests County Appoint Civil Engineer to Fill Vacant Ad Hoc Committee Seat After Brock Dismissal
The Oconee Joint Regional Sewer Authority (JRSA) plans to request that Oconee County nominate a replacement for Amanda Brock on the Joint Constitution Ad Hoc Committee, which is tasked with restructuring sewer service delivery across the county. Brock’s recent dismissal as county administrator—following a unanimous 5-0 vote by county council citing a “loss of trust” over an undisclosed private jet trip with United Homes Group executives—has left the committee seat vacant.
During yesterday’s JRSA board meeting, Chairman Kevin Bronson directly engaged audience member Glenn Hart, the District Five county councilman, who informed commissioners that the county is keen to appoint a civil engineer to represent its interests on the panel.
This move aims to maintain momentum on the committee’s deliberations, which include input from JRSA Executive Director Chris Eleazee, Seneca Administrator Scott Moulder, Walhalla Administrator Celia Myers, Westminster Administrator Kevin Bronson, Appalachian Council of Governments Deputy Director Chip Bentley, and external water and sewer experts.
