Judge sets Bond for Former College Football Players accused of Armed Robbery

The three former college football players charged with armed robbery and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime have been released on bond. On Wednesday, CJ Fuller of Easley and Jadar Johnson of Orangeburg, both former Clemson football players who were members of the 2016 National Championship Team, as well as Quaven Ferguson of Easley, a former member of Duke University’s football team, were arrested in connection to a 4pm robbery at gunpoint on Sloan Street in the downtown area of the City of Clemson. On Thursday, they appeared before a judge, who set surety bonds at $25,000 for each suspect. Clemson City Police report that the men took an undisclosed amount of cash and the victim’s cell phone. Police said all three suspects were arrested without incident.
