Jury selected for Murder Trial in OC

A jury has been selected for the murder trial of Kenneth Strother Collins, who is accused in the stabbing death of Jeremy Lee Littleton in January of 2015 at his home on North Laurel Street in Walhalla. Oconee General Sessions Judge Scott Sprouse is presiding over the case, which is scheduled to begin today, Oct. 17. Collins faces murder, kidnapping, and the possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime charges. In pre-trial motions on Monday, Judge Sprouse denied a motion by Collins’ attorney seeking immunity under the state’s Person and Property Act. Littleton was fatally stabbed twice in the back as he was trying to run out the door. Collins’ lawyer argued that Littleton had stopped at the door and was reaching for a gun.
