Keep Oconee Beautiful Association To Kick Off March “One Bag At A Time” Campaign This Saturday
The Keep Oconee Beautiful Association will be holding a kick-off event this weekend for their 2nd annual One Bag At A Time Cleanup. The kick-off event will be held at the Walhalla Public Library this Saturday from 10 am until 12 pm, rain or shine. The event will be going on throughout the month of March but at the kick-off event, you will be able to pickup supplies you need to pick up litter, from grabbers to vests to bags to gloves. KOBA will also have some freebies as well to giveaway, according to Danielle Panache. KOBA is asking those who participate in this event throughout the month of March to post a picture of their bags after they pick up litter online through social media using the #onebagatatime and #kobasc to be entered into a giveaway for a free pizza certificate. Danielle says that this will help KOBA keep track of how many bags of litter are picked up. During last year’s event, close to 500 bags of litter were picked up. The goal for this year, according to Danielle, is 600 bags
