Knights of Columbus Donates to Seneca Middle School Special Education Program
The Knights of Columbus St. Gerard Majella Council No. 6884 recently presented a donation from its annual Tootsie Roll Hope Campaign to Seneca Middle School. Council representative James Dominic gave the check to Special Education Department Chair Kim Crane, who plans to use the funds to bring Farm Center staff to teach students with intellectual disabilities how to churn butter. The Knights raise money each year through the familiar Tootsie Roll drives at local stores, collecting about $22,000 this year, which is distributed to special education programs in schools across Anderson, Pickens, and Oconee counties.
