Latest Poll Shows Sen. Graham Has Six Point Lead Over Harrison

Newsweek magazine is out with a poll that shows a six point lead for Republican incumbent Lindsey Graham over Democratic challenger Jaime Harrison for one of South Carolina’s seats in the US Senate.

The Cook Report poll in Newsweek says that the 48%-42% advantage three weeks until election day is the widest lead Senator Graham has enjoyed over his challenger in months. The poll is based on how voters would cast their ballots if the election were today.

Senator Lindsey Graham announced yesterday that his campaign raised $28 million in the Third Quarter – the most ever raised in a quarter by a Republican Senate candidate in any state. Democrat Jaime Harrison reported raising over $57 million – with 93% of the money coming from out-of-state.

Early voting is already underway in South Carolina. Election Day is November 3rd.
