Lightning disables weather station

Lightning in the Saturday afternoon storm disabled the temperature recording mechanism at the U-S Official Weather Station in Walhalla. For now, that damage prevents weather watcher Barbara Wilson from recording the temperatures and reporting them to the National Weather Service at Greenville-Spartanburg.
