Little Rain fell in OC over Weekend

A strong thunderstorm moved through Anderson County Saturday night, causing damage to homes, but little rain fell in Oconee County over the weekend, reports Official U.S. Weather Observer Barbara Wilson. “Well, for Saturday we only had .18 inches and for Sunday .24 inches. Then from 7am Sunday to 7am Monday, I didn’t record anything. There were storms above us and below us, so they were really scattered about. Our high so far this month has only gotten up to 91 degrees on July 12, and so far we have had just over 3.5 inches of rain for July.” Rainfall amounts may differ where you live; Wilson recorded these figures from her weather station in Walhalla, which is about one-mile from the county seat.
