Little Rain recorded in Walhalla

Little rain fell in Walhalla last night. From her Hickory Hollow Farm in Walhalla, Official U.S. Weather Observer Barbara Wilson gives rain totals and the temperature highs and lows. “Over night, we only had .22 here at the station with a high yesterday of 74 and a low of 68. The other major rain that we’ve had was the Sunday after Hurricane Florence came inland and that was .41. So, here at the station we are still less than one inch for the month.” Figures may be different where you live. Wilson and her family, the Brandts, have been recording the weather from Walhalla for the National Weather Service for over 100 years. They are the longest active weather watchers and volunteer reporters for the National Weather Service.
