Local Church Vandalized Over Weekend

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office’s Criminal Investigations Division is asking the public for any information about a church vandalism that happened over the weekend. On Saturday morning, the report came in from Reedy Fork Baptist Church on East Reedy Fork Road here in Seneca.

Pastor Von Renyolds said he believes the damages were done Friday night.

Broken windows and words written in black spray paint that read: “courtesy: upstatechurchvandals.com impeaching phony ‘religion’ always” is what greeted the pastor, who said that seven downstairs windows were broken in the main building, and seven windows were broken in the fellowship building.

If you have any information about what happened, please call Crimestoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC or the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office.
