Local Gas Prices Up

Local gas prices have gone up a few cents over the past week as national prices fell, that is according to GasBuddy.com.  The gas tracking website reports the average price per gallon as of Monday was $3.23 in South Carolina, while the national average is $3.61.  GasBuddy.com ranks South Carolina as the state with the cheapest gas prices in the country.  The state with the highest gas prices is Hawaii at $4.30 per gallon.  Locally, prices for a gallon of regular grade gasoline inside the city limits of Seneca range from $3.16 to $3.29.  Compared to this time last year, state gas prices have risen .18 cents from $3.05 in 2012 to $3.23 in 2013.  GasBuddy.com surveys 452 gas stations daily to get their data on gas prices.
