Man Arrested Following Investigation of Multiple Serious Charges

According to reports from the Oconee County Detention Center, on Monday Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 31-year-old Jeremy Hugh Sluder of Westminster and charged him with three counts of unlawful neglect of a child or helpless person and five counts of first degree criminal sexual conduct or attempt thereof with a minor victim under the age of 11, with more charges pending.

Details surrounding the investigation which led to his arrest are expected to be released soon. He remains in custody at the Oconee County Detention Center after he was denied bond on all charges at his first court appearance.
