Man arrested for robbing Bank in Clemson

A man sits behind bars on multiple charges including armed robbery. The Clemson Police Department reports that 46-year-old Megan Ramon White of Rock Hill was apprehended Monday afternoon following a chase. Around 1:15pm, police were dispatched to the Bank of America on College Avenue in reference to an armed robbery in progress. On arrival, police located the suspect, later identified as White, driving a silver sedan. A pursuit into Anderson County ensued with White eventually abandoning the car and fleeing on foot into the woods. Riverside Middle School was briefly placed on precautionary lockdown during the search for White. Police in Pendleton set up a perimeter and a Clemson Police K-9 help locate White, who was subsequently booked into the Clemson Law Enforcement Center.
